She is an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School and a staff psychiatrist at the Massachusetts General Hospital Lurie Center for Autism. She also sees patients in her private practice. She is a graduate of Harvard College, the University of Toronto Medical School, Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Training Program, and the Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Hospital Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program. Dr. Thom specializes in treating children and adults with autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental disorders, anxiety disorders, and mood disorders. Her areas of research include autism spectrum disorder, Williams syndrome, anxiety disorders, and psychopharmacology. She has published more than 40 research articles and book chapters.
